New magazine replay (yes, with a little r) is the hub for all things music. From discovering up-and-coming indie artists to reviewing industry giants. Our writers have a passion for music and pop culture, keeping their fingers on the pulse of what and who’s trending.
Started by Tererai Maenzanise, a 25-year-old fan girl by nature. She set out to share her love of music and the community. With a Bachelor’s in journalism and a career background in PR, words come easy to her. But even easier is the passion for all things music. Hear it from her mouth.

Tererai Maenzanise, Founder and Editor-in-chief of replay, shares “I remember from a young age being in the back of my dad’s car, bopping along to the radio. When I was old enough to navigate the TV for myself, I skipped over CBBC and went straight to Kiss and MTV to get my music fix, this is where I was first introduced to Taylor Swift during her Love Story promotions.
“Then when I was 10, my parents graced me with my first phone, it was this tiny purple Samsung thing, but I was most excited for the MP3 player function, my dad had the Rihanna album Good Girl Gone Bad on his phone and the first thing I did was secretly Bluetooth the album to my phone – something you could do back then. It felt scandalous but I lived for the music.
“Fifteen years on, I am a serial concert goer. There have only been a handful of shows I haven’t been able to get tickets for when I tried. So I thought to myself, why don’t I write about these experiences? And thus, replay was born.”
Replay is a volunteer-run venture but the team aims to grow to a point where we can offer paid writing opportunities. Our vision is to empower young writers and music fans to share their voice by offering student writing opportunities, as we recognise the thrill of getting your first, or first few, published bylines.
Whilst digital for now, replay hopes to expand and deliver physical editions of the magazine.
Stay tuned for more.
