Following their World Tour announcement, K-pop boy group Enhypen took to the Sahara stage to steal the show at Coachella.
The group opened their set with Blockbuster, joining their crew of dancers on the stage to the cheers of fans. It was a great hype song to get the crowd moving for their set. Dressed in all denim, the group brought energy to the stage with clean dancing and impeccable vocals.
It was really nice to hear fans chanting along with the track’s opening, as the group jumped straight into this song. This rock-infused performance was a perfect choice for Coachella. I hope it’s on their World Tour setlist.
Pass the MIC has always been a fan favourite, and it kept its status during this show, hearing the crowd sing along word for word. Although the members spent a portion of the song sitting down, their backup dancers and stage lighting kept the energy up during this song.
ParadoXXX Invasion
The choreography in ParadoXXX Invasion felt a lot more energetic than the previous song, but the group didn’t compromise on vocals. I loved that they dance-battled their dancers. It was a really fun segment that let both the group and their backup dancers shine for the crowd.

They immediately started with Paranormal, getting the crowd involved by having them repeat lines to them before they started the song. The group spread across the stage to allow all fans to have a good view. This meant that for the song, there was no choreography. Instead, the group interacted with fans the way they would at a concert, but honestly, I think this must have been great for Engene (Enhypens’ official fandom name) in attendance, who got some of that concert experience.
They started this song with unit dances across the stage before hitting the audience with XO. It was a pared-down version of the song before the iconic guitar riff kicked in. Giving the performance a 90s boyband feel, especially with the all-denim fits and the boombox speakers as the on-screen visuals behind the group. I really liked this mix, and I hope they put it out for streaming. It was also really fun to hear fan chants during this song from the crowd of Engene.
No doubt opened to screams of elation from the crowd. This song has always given me the feel of American boy bands, so it was a great choice for an American crowd.
I love that they had a live band with them. Ni-ki started the song by asking the band to hit them with the bass. The live music aspect really elevated the song, leaving little space for backing track vocals. Sweet Venom was one of the first Enhypen songs I heard, after Polaroid Love, so it was nice to see them perform it live. The choreography was on point, and again, the fans made a point to shout the fan chants, which I imagine was a full-circle moment for the group to be on such a famous stage and have true fans in attendance.
Daydream started with the dancers setting the tone. Fans went absolutely wild for Daydream, and I don’t blame them. It’s such a vibey song, reminiscent of current day Hip Hop music, it reminded me of Juicy J and rappers like that. This song was a complete change in tone from Sweet Venom.
Moonstruck slowed it down again, and the group was posted up behind mic stands for a slower, more intimate performance. Although there was no choreography for this song, it allowed the group’s vocals to shine.

Bite Me brought the group’s vampire agenda to Coachella, the lights turning red as the group left their mic stands to sing this much-anticipated track. This is one I’m looking forward to seeing when they come to London later this year. The live band added more edge to the song, which I didn’t know was possible, but I love it.
Drunk-Dazed was a great choice for Coachella, as it has that EDM vibe that works well at festivals of this nature, and it is also a fan favourite. It had the crowd jumping, but this song is such a confetti song and deserved some of that extra flair throughout. Close to the end of the song, they had a classic EDM beat drop, which was accompanied by excited dancing and flames.
So, did they bring the heat back? Yes, they performed Brought The Heat Back to end their set. It was a nice way to close the set, but I think they needed the Drunk-Dazed energy to close, as it was more hyped, but the performance was still great. They did add some fireworks to this song, giving it more of a closing song feeling.
We can only wait and see what weekend two brings for the group and how they could possibly top their weekend one performance.
