P1Harmony is a group that I found in late 2023. I fell in love with their effortless style when listening to their track Fall In Love Again. I thought they were a charming new group – well, new to me, and I started following their progress. They have recently released their latest mini-album / EP. Which I was quick to purchase, and now it’s time to review it and share the good music this group makes.
DUH!
Starting the EP strong, the sass is real as DUH! starts with a dirty beat reminiscent of 90s music. The group reiterates that they’ve ‘got it like that’ as they share how they’re just that group. You cant help but move to the groove as the song continues and you get sucked into the reasons why they’re just that group that is Killin’ It right now. Keeho’s high note leads the song to its close, truly a fantastic track.
Pretty Boy
This song has been a fan favourite, and why wouldn’t it be? The group reiterates that only ‘pretty girls like pretty boys like me’. Making a self-love anthem for fans, who, in my experience meeting them are pretty girls. Feeling confident in oneself is a key theme throughout the EP. The song has a strong base in afrobeats, with a strong percussion base that is reminiscent of some classic afrobeat tracks. One of many groups to adopt an afrobeat song in their discography.
Murmur
Murmur is a classic diss track against their haters. Starting the track by calling out those who have nothing better to do than drag people down. The pre-chorus shows how unbothered the group is about the murmurs about them. Well, how unbothered can you be if you address it in a piece of work you release? But, as a BTS fan, their Cyphers have always been a favourite, and those also comment on the hate they got.

Flashy
This song opens with a strong guitar riff, giving a rock vibe before jumping into an EDM instrumental. This is a song I can envision in a mid to late naughties TV show during a fashion show as the underdog model or socialite walks a runway. It’s such a strong and empowering sounding track, as the group shares that they are feeling flashy. It’s got such 2009/2010 vibes, I love it.
Over And Over
A strong opening with a brass instrument laying down the melody like a Jason Derulo song in 2012. At the core of the song, the group shares that no matter how many times they are knocked down, they will continue to get up. Making the brass a victory trumpet, as they won’t stop until they reach the top. But without diving into the lyrics, you’d just get a strong urge to bop when you hear the song, as it stands up as a good vibe.
Work
What is it with K-pop’s obsession with working this year? First Work by Ateez, now this? And Aespa just announced Dirty Work.
Unlike Ateez, P1Harmony aren’t asking us to go to work, they are SERVING. They are asking us to work it, darling. Like Flashy, this is such a Gossip Girl track. If I heard this in a club, I’d get up. Something the group does well is party anthems; they know how to make you want to get up and dance.
